Palazzo Salato
Roman-inspired trattoria, Palazzo Salato, will swing its doors open for a one-off Sunday lunch, celebrating Mother’s Day on May 10th.
Executive Chef Alex Major and Head Chef Matthew Goddard have created a palatial feast, fit for a queen. On the set menu ($98 per person) there will be Palazzo ham with colatura hot sauce and focaccia; stracciatella, Cantabrian anchovies and pangratatto; Mafaldine with spanner crab, uni butter and chilli; and pesce del giorno, to name a few, with options to add on a few special dishes too.
To get the celebrations underway, surprise mum with a pre-ordered glass of Domaine Champalou Vouvray Brut sparkling on arrival.

Dear Sainte Éloise
Potts Point’s neighbourhood wine bar and restaurant, Dear Sainte Éloise, will have a lunchtime Mother’s Day set menu ($90 per person), along with a selection of add-ons to choose from.
Head Chef Tom Cleland’s Mother’s Day set-menu includes the iconic anchovy brioche; cauliflower, pomegranate, savoury granola, cashew and herbs; tuna crudo, basil bulaguy and nasturtium; Snowy Mountain rainbow trout with a vermouth beurre blanc, herbs fines and trout roe; and a macadamia cobbler with baked feijoas and custard, to name a few.
Begin with a toast to mum on arrival, with a glass Allouchery-Deguerne ‘Sélection’ Brut Champagne, which can be pre-ordered when booking.

Ragazzi Wine + Pasta
Lively, cosy and in the heart of the CBD, Executive Chef Alex Major and Head Chef Raj Bhandari have created a Mother’s Day set-menu ($98) which stars dishes such as croquettes del giorno; Yellowfin tuna crudo, plum and wasabi; mafaldine with marron, tomato and kombu butter; rigatoni with Maremma duck ragu; and an almond praline tiramisu. Opt for a glass of Elisabetta Abrami Franciacorta 'Brut’ sparkling upon arrival.

Fabbrica Darlinghurst
Fabbrica Darlinghurst’s Executive Chef Damiano Balducci and Head Chef Jai Shetti have devised a set menu ($80 per person) with a few of the hits like zucchini flowers and cacio e pepe, along with tuna crudo with buttermilk and grapefruit; cavatelli with vongole and ‘nduja; and crème caramel, persimmon.
As Fabbrica Darlinghurst has recently introduced B.Y.O. to its offering ($15 per bottle), guests are welcome to bring a special bottle or two of mum’s favourite wine to lunch with them. As ever, Fabbrica’s usual drinks list will remain available, too.

Fabbrica Newtown
Fabbrica Newtown’s Head Chef Keir Ballantyne is whipping up a Mother’s Day set menu ($80 per person) with a few Fabbrica’s classics like zucchini flowers and cacio e pepe. Ballantyne has also included a selection of his current favourite plates, such as Bluefin tuna with smoked tonnato, desert lime and crispy capers; mafaldine with blue swimmer crab, tomato and tarragon; and a chocolate fudge cake with blood orange and crème fraîche to finish.
